Before we got XP machines in my old school district, I used a product
called Deep Freeze, which reset the computer to your specifications every
time is was rebooted. You can find information about Deep Freeze at
http://www.faronics.com/html/DFStd.asp. The Standard version worked very
well for us is pretty cheap as far as software goes -- the license for one
machine $12.50 and there are volume discounts.
We did not use Deep Freeze once we got XP machines because XP my tech
folks said has a way to reset the machine to previous settings, much like
Deep Freeze only it's not automatic.
