I voted YES. You don't say who "pulled it from the shelf" - you don't even say if = this was your school or not - but I doubt I would have purchased this = book in the first place.=20 Does it have a wonderful review in SLJ?=20 Does it go along with your curriculum? Do you have a Ojectional Materials Policy in place, and was it followed? In my humble opinion I can understand having books about all sorts of = lifestyles at the jr. high and high school level. However, I would not = purchase this book for my elementary school's collection. I would not be = able to justify the purchase of it. The parents here would not tolerate = it. I would be very uncomfortable if my 6 year old brought it home as a = library book.=20 There is a time and place for everything - but books about gay princes = do not belong in an elementary school library.=20 Jumping off the soapbox,=20 Karen DeFrank Bullock School Glassboro, NJ=20 kdefrank@glassboro.k12.nj.us > ---------- > From: MARY M.
