Hi All, I have a signed copy of Heather Has 2 Mommies (daughter picked it up for me at a college program). I keep it in the back (private) collection with my other signed copies. I would offer it to any staff member or even parent who is interested or needs it for reference. However under no circumstances would I keep it out in my regular collection for my K-5 school. My suburban NJ community would not be receptive to this type of book being made available to their young children. I can only think of one or two other local (more urban) communities where the book would be an asset to the K-5 collections. However I would not hesitate to put something age appropriate on the same subject in our Middle School or high school library. Same community- different audience.
