Netters, I didn't explain why I was having a labeling problem. We have someone in our district who used to live and teach in South Dakota. At her school they were going through a school improvement plan and had the visitation team there. The team felt that putting the RL and point value on the label on the spine was discriminatory and that children would 'make fun' of someone with lesser ability. Apparently the school lost some points or status or whatever for doing it that way. This person has my school in an uproar over it. We can't allow anyway to be made fun of or to feel less, you know. So I was wondering what everyone else does. The consensus was to put a colored blank sticker ( dot ) on the spine to allow visual tracking of AR titles. And to put a label on the inside front or back cover with the RL and point value. Personally, I think the school is short changing their student character. Hope this clears up some questions. Thanks for all the good suggestions.
