This might be a really obvious or stupid question, but I want to do an author study with my third grade students, and was thinking of doing Patricia Pollacco. I've never done an author study before. I have a bunch of her books but, beyond that, I'm not sure how to get started on an author study, or what to do/include. Any tips or ideas? What worked or didn't work? One thing I should mention is that we don't have access to multiple computers in my libraries, so any web research should be somewhat limited. Beyond that, I don't mind getting creative, as some of my third graders are a tough crowd in terms of getting, and keeping, attention and interest!
