Here are some online resources related to content area reading, which I
compiled and annotated for my professional organization's newsletter.

This issue of the online newsletter from the Educational Alliance at Brown
University contains research, stories, and strategies related to four key
components of an effective adolescent literacy initiative: motivating
students to read; use of research-based strategies; support of reading and
writing across the curriculum; and organizational support. A separate
(136-page) document, Adolescent Literacy Resources, providing an in-depth
discussion of research, articles and books on adolescent literacy, can be
downloaded from this site.
