[LM_NET] New York State only: AASL Survey--input needed

AASL Survey Questions

         AASL’s strategic planning session at the ALA
mid-winter conference in Boston in January needs some
input about issues and associations.  The board will
use members’ feedback to plan for AASL’s future
actions.

        Dawn Vaughn, AASL president, asked us to discuss two
questions nationwide and share the responses with the
AASL leadership. Since the SLMS conference is not
until spring and the data is needed in January, AASL
Delegate Cathie Marriott and I would like your
response to the questions below via e-mail:

        1. What are the most important issues that you see
facing school library media programs, library staff
and library associations over the next five to ten
years?

        2. What can a national association do to address
these issues that a local school library media
specialist, school district staff, state level staff
or a state association cannot do on its own?

Please reply to this e-mail by Dec. 1.  All responses
