Student printing cost and limit

I found a lot of questions about this in the archives but no answers.

We are looking for a way to curtail excessive student printing.  My =
principle would like to charge the students per page after they hit a =
certain number of pages.  Does anyone do anything like this?  If so, =
what do you consider to be an acceptable number of pages per week?  What =
do you charge per page over that number?
