Laura, there is an excellent publication called Try Again Red Riding Hood
that helps students recognise their Early Warning Signs and what to do about
them.  It is available from the Protective Behaviours organisation -
http://www.protective-behaviours.org.au/main.htm > Resources.  Of course you
would have to get it from Australia but it well worth having whether you do
a LRRH unit or not.
