Hello,
I work in a library at a residential school for the deaf. I am the only =
full time librarian and I have a part time assistant and the current =
hours are 8-4 Monday through Friday. I have been asked to flex my hours =
so that the dorm students may have access to the library after school =
hours. I am planning to work some days from 9-5 to accommodate this =
request. I have one question: Since my assistant will be running the =
library from 8-9 by herself some mornings (during the majority of first =
period), I was wondering if it would be a legal problem when a library =
is run by a person without certification even for a hour. If any of you =
know the answer to that question, I would appreciate it if you could =
share your knowledge with me about this topic.

Thank you for your assistance,
Brenda Ulrich, Media Coordinator
Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf, Wilson, NC
