Not quite related to the book aspect, but a fairly significantly
disabled fellow in our bicycle club has picked up some comprehension of
decimals and numbners in general by watching his mileage climb, and
noticing that "14.8" miles per hour takes more work than 14.4 mph, etc.=20
(Okay, okay, I've done some coaching...) Made me want to have stationary
bikes in every math class :-)=20
