One of my "regular" English teachers has a requirement that students read= one book each semester by a non US author. I am trying to work with her t= o convice her that my collection doesn't currently support this idea. Most = of the non US authors I have are British and most are considered "classics" which don't interest her students, plus those titles are going out to the= Honors English students who are required to read them. As a further problem, my books are not searchable by nationality of the authors. The main authors I am able to give them are Agatha Christic and the author of= the series "Angus Thongs". I have authors Hispanic American/ Chinese American/ African American etc but she wants non US. I am going to work on this, meanwhile does anyone have a list of authors who are some that a typical high school might have in the "general" readi= ng collection. Then I could see which of those I have and make a list to hel= p he situation. I could also perhaps pick up some of these authors. I will post a hit. Deborah J. Stafford Gen. H.H.
