My own daughter LOVES this series! Have I read it? yes! Do I like it?
Yes! Is it honest? Yes!=20
These are trying times for young ladies today. If they can read about
choices others make and the possible outcomes, I would much rather have
them read about it than perhaps act on it.=20
I would defend these titles as much as I defend anything else I
purchase!=20

If you have Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar in your library, will you

A parent at our school is most disturbed with this book and our
selection
policy that allowed us to purchase it. BTW it is on the ALA 2003 Quick
Picks
for Reluctant Young Adult Readers.
The parent also just started out with her complaint with a letter and 45
parent signatures to our School Board. She did not even contact my
principal
or me with this book.
We do have a policy for challenged materials and I plan to put in
motion.
I need any support, information and help that you can give me.
