Dear LM-Netters, I have been thinking for some time about an Knowledge Quest issue called "Student Voices." If you have examples of student work (or would like = to solicit student writing) on any of the following: 1. Student writing (any genre---but no 5-paragraph essays, please) about = the impact on that student of having (or not having?) a school library or a school librarian, a particular program in the school library, a book = read that was obtained through the school library, etc. 2. Student writing from their own research journal, I-Search process or another reflective piece about research... 3. Another piece of writing which I haven't thought to suggest.... I am looking for heartfelt, creative writing from K-20 (graduate = students ok!!) and I will ask the librarian who submits the piece to compliment = the student piece with a short background article. So, if you are interested in submitting for this issue, please e-mail me (kq@abilock.net).=20 Debbie Abilock, Editor Knowledge Quest http://www.ala.org/aasl/kqweb/ kq@abilock.net "A wild patience has taken me this far." -- Adrienne Rich =20 Knowledge Quest is devoted to offering substantive information to assist building-level library media specialists, supervisors, library = educators, and other decision makers concerned with the development of school = library media programs and services.
