Directs & coordinates programs & activities of the Missoula Public
Library System.  Implements policies adopted by the Missoula Public
Library Board of Trustees.  Requires a Master's degree in Library
Science (MLS) from an A.L.A. accredited institution or Master's in
Education with library science core study. Requires 5 years of
progressively responsible experience in public library work, which
includes 3 years in an administrative and/or supervisory capacity.
Experience managing library technical IT projects & experience
participating in mill levy or library bond campaigns desired.  
Supervises a staff of 34 people and a budget of 1.8 million dollars.
The Missoula Public Library serves a county population of 95,000 with a
main library and two branches.
