Cowboys, Buckaroos, Vaqueros - Who Were They, Really?
A Web conference presented by librarians at the Library of Congress.

Songs and movies celebrate this American icon of the West, but who were the real 
people upon whom these stories are based?  Join us for a look at the world of the 
cowboy, through stories, songs, photographs, and film.

When:  Wednesday, August 10, 2005 beginning at 2:00 p.m. EDT

To attend, go to

Type your name and click "Enter" to go into the online room. All that is needed is 
an Internet connection, sound card, and speakers.   A small software applet will 
download to your computer as you enter the room.  A headset with microphone will 
enable you to speak to the group.

Note:  Use of Internet Explorer is recommended.  Log on 5 minutes early to allow 
for the web conference software to be downloaded automatically to your computer.
