My favorite book for starting school (when I was in K-3 libraries) was "The Kissing
Hand" by Audrey Penn. It's a great book to share with kids who might be a little
scared about going back to school (or just starting school) and their parents who
are also a little sad about their "babies" who are growing up.

Hi,
I am looking for books I can read aloud at open house to parents. Last
year I did this and we all had such a great time. I read an Anthony
Browne book and More, More, More Said the Baby. Does anyone have any
great suggestion for this year's open house. I need a book parents with
children in Kinder, grades 1-3 and grades 4-5.
