The company announced the suspension, effective until November, in a notice posted on its website just before midnight Thursday by Adam Smith, the manager of its ambitious program to convert millions of books into a digital format. http://www.wired.com/news/culture/0,1284,68513,00.html ----------- Google's been having a bad week, between this and their decision to refuse to cooperate with all journalists from CNET because one of their writers used Google to look up personal information about Google's CEO in an article about Internet privacy. I wrote all of this today over lunch, which you can find here: http://www.andycarvin.com/ permalink: http://www.andycarvin.com/archives/2005/08/a_bad_week_for.html I also blogged a bit about the Denver library mess regarding Spanish-language content.
