[LM_NET] School library disaster info needed

Hi all,

    The Libraries, Information Literacy, and Technology caucus of the National 
Education Association has been working with NEA, who has joined a coalition of 
library organizations and donor companies to foster a grant opportunity for school 
libraries that are faced with a disaster.  These disasters can be either man-made 
(frozen pipes, leaking roofs, fires, etc.) or natural (hurricanes, tornadoes, 
floods, etc.)  NEA is attempting to put together a list of school librarians who 
have gone through such ordeals. They will then contact them for input, and possibly 
convene the group to put together criteria for this grant program.  If you are a 
school librarian who has faced some sort of disaster in your work place that has 
disrupted library services, and you would be willing to help by giving input into 
this effort, please e-mail me your contact information.  I will pass this on to the 
NEA national organization, who will be working to construct the grant program.  We 
are hoping to have a list submitted by September 20th.  Your help with this will be 
very much appreciated!
