We just had a very successful author visit with Adrian Fogelin at our school
last month. She will respond to your request but she does many author
visits and is probably away. I spent more than a day with her and she did
not check her email. My principal met her last year at IRA and knew she
would be worthwhile. I wanted to let my LMnet colleagues know it was money
well spent having Adrian Fogelin--she inspired the students and the
teachers. Lot's of energy, very positive and fun too! Crossing Jordan is a
great choice for your students there is so much you can do with it and it is
a great way to talk about prejudice. We had two students as Cass and Jemmie
reading from the book-during our book club it was a great visual and sparked
interest in the book. Try her again and tell her Diana with the orange hat
says hello.

Subject: [LM_NET] Crossing Jordan

Greetings to the Collective Brain:

My middle school is using Adrian Fogelin's _Crossing Jordan_
as our first ever Whole School Read Aloud. I have tried to
contact Ms. F via her website, but have not had any
success.

Does anyone know of any followup activities available, or perhaps
a theme-related movie?

TIA
