I was reading snow stories to my Kinders (since we see so little of  it!) and 
I was reading The Snowy Day.   In the story it  goes...Peter told his mother 
of his adventures while she took off his  wet socks.  The next page shows him 
sitting the the tub and says...He  thought and thought about them.
Don't get ahead of me...one little boy raised his hand and asked, "Why  was 
he thinking about his wet socks?"
