I'm writing a circulation policy for my elementary school library. A big problem I've noticed in my first year as a librarian is the amount of overdue/lost books. I'm thinking of sending a notice home with the child as a first and second step. As a third step, I want to mail a "firm" letter home in an effort to retrieve funds or get the book back. Would you share the letter that you send home for overdue books?
