I've been interested in a version of this question for some time now. Why not
simply use the cataloging software you currently use (assuming you have an OPAC)?
But further, does anyone know (yet) of an OPAC that has scheduling capabilities /
and the ability to display the schedules of items online for patrons? I'd like to
move beyond simple inventory of TVs and other electronic items and be able to allow
patrons / librarians to browse their availability using the OPAC.

equipment inventory (computers, VCRs etc.)
and do an annual inventory check. It's done manually and is time
consuming. I'm looking into purchasing a program and scanner that will
allow me to barcode all the equipment and just scan everything. I've
looked at the programs at www.waspbarcode.com. Has anyone used their
product or anything similar? Thanks for any info you may have.
