It's so great being associated with a group that is so eager to help! LM_Net is
the thing that has most helped my career change from the classroom to Media
Specialist. I can't say thank you enough to so many people.
Original post:
A student is trying to locate a book that she read about 6 months ago. Can' t
remember a title or author. Here's what she does remember:
Takes place during a war with England....about a girl (possibly on the cover, the
girl was dressed like a native American) who escapes to Canada. She also says that
the book has something to do with a spy!
Four titles were forwarded to me:
Calico Captive -- Speare
Ransom of Mercy Carter - Cooney
Hollow Tree -- Lund
I am Regina -- Keehn
I shared the titles with the student. She was so impressed. The title for which
she was looking was Hollow Tree. However, she checked out two others as well
because she thought that they looked good, too.
