For those of you who are passionate about audiobooks (especially for
teens), you are invited to join the Young Adult Library Services
Association (YALSA) for a preconference called " Reading With Your
Ears." It will be held from 9-5 on June 23rd, 2006 at ALA's Annual
Conference in New Orleans. The day will include explorations into
curriculum connections, technology issues around traditional & new
formats, reviewers speaking about how to critique audiobooks and more.
Throughout the day there will be expert panelists including teen actors
who work in the audiobook business; reviewers from AudioFile, Booklist,
and Kliatt; and keynote speakers including author Tamora Pierce. For
