I just finished reading the copy of Inkspell by Funke
that I purchase for my K-5 building. While I loved the
story, I'm feeling a bit unsure about adding it to my
collection because of the language. It has a number of
b@$t@rd$, d@mn$, and son of a bit*he$.
I realize that the students who would likely read
Inkspell are my advanced readers, but I'm still
hemming and hawing about adding it. For those of you
who are still around and can take a break from
breaking federal copyright protection laws, what would
you do? Add it or not?
And as our kindergarten teacher said during the
sing-a-long yesterday, "Merry Christmas, Merry
Hanukkah, Merry Kwanza, and for you pagans out there,
Merry Solsitice!"
