For those of you who do not follow the strip, Frazz is the college
educated, song writing triathlete custodian of an elementary school.
Recently, he was late to school because he had to finish the last 100
pages of a novel he was reading. Jeff Mallett has really milked this
story liine, with the school eventually having a day where everyone
arrives late because they were stuck in a good book. It has since moved
on to a discussion about writing to and being an author. One of my
favorite teacher lines in response to a student statement is "A good book
is education disguised as entertainment."

Frazz is a very literate comic strip. A couple of years ago for
Halloween, Caulfield worked through the week as Dorian Gray. On Friday,
his grandfather showed up as Caulfield the old man.
