[LM_NET] TARGET: easy info about state dept, DOD, etc

I have a resource teacher looking for accessible basic information about
each of the executive departments; Department of Defense, Department of
Energy, State Department, etc.  Some of the .gov sites for these departments
have good info targeted at students and some are really too difficult for
these particular students to navigate.  Does anyone know of a good online
resource that explains the function of these departments in fairly easy
terms?
