Yes, this is the book, "The Final Journey" by Pausewang. Thanks to everyone
who had suggestions. This book is quite a bit darker than "Devil's
Arithmatic" and has a deep emotional impact. I was looking for it for a
sixth grader with a serious interest in the Holocaust. I wouldn't suggest it
for every kid.

I'm looking for a particular YA book about the Holocaust. It focuses on a
Jewish girl who is transported with other Jews in cattle cars to a prison
camp where she is killed. It is a rather dark book. Does anyone know the
title?
