LM_NET Archive



I think we get magazines like the ones mentioned because we want to see boys
(and girls, but they aren't as hard to reach) reading  - and ANYTHING that
gets them reading is better than nothing. We've had this discussion about
Goosebumps books, Captain Underpants, Nancy Drew mysteries - the list is
long.
Ultimately the librarians hold the purse strings and it's up to us to decide
what our money is going to be spent on. And if kids are reading, and asking
for reading material, that's what we want to push.
