There is a series of autobiographical picture books by David A. Adler,
published by Holiday House. All titles have the same format. Ex., A
Picture Book of Martin Luther King, Jr., A Picture Book of Helen Keller.
There are also many others published by Children's Press, Compass Point
Books, Rosen's PowerKids Press, and Capstone Press' Bridgestone Books and
Pebble Books, to name a few I use.

Ezra Jack Keats by Dean Engel & Florence Freedman - ISBN 1-881889-65-3

The Librarian Who Measured the Earth by Kathryn Lasky & illustrated by
Kevin Hawkes
ISBN 0-316-51526-4

James Stevenson did several. If I remember correctly a couple of his
titles are "Don't You Know There's a War on?" and "July" There is also
"War Boy" I don't remember the author , it takes place in the UK during
WWII. I think "Farewell to Manzinar (SP?) is also a picture book.

.S. Hyman and Marge Zemach also wrote autobiographies
with their own illustrating. The book may be op (at least in hardcover).
