My 6,7, and 8 come once a week, scheduled, during reading class. The
teacher stays with them and they stay the whole period. I don't mind
this at all even though I have k-12 and no aides and tons of work. They
are to be reading or doing schoolwork, 2 to a table.

Reading needs a bit of a push here, and I am glad to have students
spending some time in the library and enjoying it, and, even if
sometimes just by "osmosis" here and there, picking up on some of what
is available to them here. Other classes do not assign enough research
for students to learn the study skills they should, and come only
rarely. They don't have free checkout time to come to the library.
During study halls they can come on a pass if they have some computer
work or research to do, but not just for interest book checkout. (That
they are supposed to do during their reading time.)
