What is your best idea for Read Across America Day? Traditionally, our school has guest readers come in and read to every grade level. This year, we are looking to do much more. I have agreed to be on a committee to establish a plan for this year and I'm looking for great ideas, particularly ones for the LMC. I have already compiled a brief list of websites with loads of information, but I'm really looking more for creative, or original ideas that are library related. Here's the website list. Please let me know if you know of other websites that may be helpful. Read Across America website: Ideas and resources. http://www.nea.org/readacross/ Dr. Seuss & Read Across America/ Random House This is dated 2001, but ideas could be adapted for other years. The list could be the basis of a letter to parents since ideas are parent/child oriented.
