[LM_NET] Need picture book suggestions

I have a fifth grade teacher looking for a good picture book to use for
evaluation writing.  She is looking for a book where the main character
makes a big change from the beginning to the end of the story.  I can find
those where the main character changes those around him/her, but haven't
been able to think of one where the main character is the one making the
change.  I would really appreciate any suggestions you might have.
