A favorite of mine is about the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus.

Found a list of them on google while looking for something else.

I have a few websites and activities I can share:

1. I have just the kind of activity you need posted on my web page.
To get there, go to my library home page, scroll down towards the bottom
of the page, & click on the link that says "LM_NET Documents to Share".
Then look at the links under "Web Evaluation for Seniors".

2. This page has lots of info about evaluation. As you scroll through
it you will find additional bogus sites:
http://www.gananda.org/library/mshslibrary/wchorror.htm

3. Here is one of my favorite bogus sites:
http://scnc.hps.k12.mi.us/~hwmedia/encyclopedia/
There are lots of choices to click on. I think the Civil War one is
particularly funny. It can catch students who do not have a lot of
knowledge of the civil war and/or who do not read carefully.

This is a page I put together last fall. The list of bogus sites that I use for
practice is down toward the bottom.

bought into this as a true story.)
