[LM_NET] Poem needed

I have had a teacher request the following type of poem for her
grandfather's memorial service.  Please share your wonderful ideas, and
I will pass them on to her.   Thank you so much for your help!

I need a poem which describes a grandfather for his memorial service. My
aunt found one which describes a cowboy, but I would like one which more
closely describes someone who has lived through the depression, dust
bowl and WWII with dignity and honor.  I looked on the web and can't
find something close to what I'm looking for and can only find a
feminine poem of this kind of life.  Do you know an author who may have
written something like what I'm looking for?
