Did someone else catch this? ---------- From: Sue Weiss <sue.weiss@comcast.net> Date: Wed, 19 Jan 2005 01:52:55 -0800 To: <coachkencarter@yahoo.com> Subject: Proper Credit to poem in movie Coach Carter movie producers, I thoroughly enjoyed and applaud the Coach Carter movie. A lot of our students saw it over the weekend. When Cortez (I think) talked about his deepest fear I knew I recognized it, but couldn't place it immediately. I stayed through all the trailers that meticulously credited everyone, except the poem that was read. I knew our students would remember the poem and wanted to put it up in the library. I found the poem in the book Chicken Soup for the Soul. It's "Our Deepest Fear" by Marianne Williamson, from her book A Return to Love. Shouldn't it be properly cited and acknowledged in the movie? -- Sue Weiss Librarian Ballard High School Seattle School District 206-252-1121, fax 206-252-1001 sweiss@seattleschools.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
