We are a K-8 Christian school and although some of our kids have purchased and read this series on their own and others have requested that we buy it, we have decided against adding it to our school library precisely because of its divisiveness and controversial nature. I won't go into the religious controversy behind it, except to say that not everyone who believes that the Bible is the inerrant word of God agrees with every point of view espoused by Jenkins and LaHaye in this series (me, for example...), but I will say that the God *our* school believes in and teaches about is not only a God of righteousness, holiness, and judgment, He is a God of love, grace, and mercy. And He is not a God who delights in the division of His people by doctrine. Rather, He wants us to be one in Him and in the doctrines that are basic to the faith. Thus endeth the sermon for today <grin> Betty Winslow, Media Center Director BGCA Bowling Green, OH bgcalib@wcnet.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
