[LM_NET] TARGET: Informing teachers about librarians

Dear Colleagues,
A wonderful friend of mine, who teaches graduate level education courses in
children's literature, has invited me to speak to her class about the role
of librarians in schools.  She knows how passionate I am about my chosen
profession and thought it would be great for her class of teachers to hear
from a librarian.  She wants me to talk to them about collaboration,
information literacy and the importance of a certified librarian in a
school.  I have a general idea of the things I want to talk about, but I
thought it would be great to hear your opinions as to what I should cover.
If you had the chance to speak to a group of teachers, what is the one
thing, about our profession and role in schools that you would like them to
know?  Please respond to me off list.  Thanks for your help.
