BroDart has a section on Graphic Novels <http://www.graphicnovels.brodart.com/links.htm> Voice of Youth Advocates (VOYA) is YA, but does excellent reviews <http://www.voya.com/> This month's 'Graphically Speaking' review theme is Sports and has titles that could be appropriate for elem No Flying No Tights <http://www.noflyingnotights.com/> has a really good kids section with a 'core titles' section Some of the ones my sixth graders liked _Bone_ , _Meridian_, Cardcaptor Sakura , _Shaolin Sisters_. But there are many others Also, Child_Lit just had a thread on graphic novels for 7-10 yr olds Go to <http://email.rutgers.edu/archives/child_lit.html> to do a Subject search for "Graphic Novels for 7 to 10". Lots of good titles. You do need to register for access. A Subject Search for 'Graphic Novels' brings up a lot of really good threads on a range of topics. (Child_Lit - it is well worth being a subscriber to that list, lots of solid critique, many authors. It could be titled ' a new title a day for collection building'. They cover a range from picture books to Jane Eyre.) Powell's City of Books, has excellent coverage a titles <http://www.powells.com/psection/GraphicNovels.html> I'm lucky enough to be across the river from them. I've gone in and told the person in charge there what is popular in my library and they start pulling books, which brings up the idea of checking with your local bookstore and public library, esp. the Childrens Librarians; they would have a good finger on the pulse of what's popular and what is accessible to their age group.
