Dear group,

I know that everyone is packing up and getting ready to leave for the summer but if
you could please find a moment to respond to the following it would be so
appreciated. I will post a hit if a I receive any responses.

I will be back during the summer with more topics (yes, I will be taking my last
graduate course) and I would appreciate any and all responses.

Thank you - you are the best!

Have a wonderful summer to one and all!

I did not receive any responses to Topic 3 - Researching a grant.

"It has been pointed out that students today are as comfortable growing up in a
digital environment as their parents were with television and radio. Furthermore,
students are “natives” to the digital world, using new technology tools to
multitask their way through the day with ease. In most cases, teachers are
“immigrants” to the digital world, having lived primarily in a print-based
environment for many years. Bridging this student-teacher digital gap has relevance
for teaching and learning as well as relationship building.
Knowing how students use technology is an important part of knowing your students.
With your study team, discuss the various ways your students may already be using
the Internet outside of the classroom, such as going online to chat rooms, playing
video games, creating movies, mixing sound, researching an interest or hobby,
messaging friends, downloading music, or buying things."
