[LM_NET] SEC: titles to update English required reading lists

LM_Netters,
Just as we are preparing to leave for the summer, I have a request from our English 
Dept. head.  She wants some titles that are more current selections to update the 
English class sets for secondary students.  She wants both fiction and non-fiction. 
 Of course we have to be concerned about language, violence and sex since students 
will be required to read these titles.  I thought of Life of Pi and Secret Life of 
Bees, but after I read a book, I can't seem to remember if there were questionable 
parts.  Any help or suggestions would be great.
