LM_NET Archive



Thank you Barbara, what a good response. I too try to keep things as
similar to other libraries as possible. I decided right from the start
that Reading Counts books needed to be shelved with the other books, but
should be marked to reflect they are Reading Counts books. I am the one
who said I put mine in special containers, but put that container on the
shelf or close to the shelf. I to found my students are reading these
books more. They are easier for them to find and once they find they
like a series they can easily find the other books in the series.
Sometimes we do have to do what makes access to books easiest for our
students. After all, encouraging reading and  fostering a love of
reading is as much part of our jobs as is information problem solving.
