[LM_NET] ALA Read software

I purchased the ALA READ software to make posters of my kids. It says that you need 
Photoshop to use it. Does anyone know if Photoshop Elements will work or do I have 
to invest in the full Photoshop package? If you have used it, was it easy? Any 
creative uses?  I was thinking of using it to promote summer reading. Maybe 
offering to make a small poster of the kids who filled out their reading log.--
