Teresa:

I never had this problem with Follett. I always gave them a block of bc
numbers to use, and they followed them religiously, even reminding me when
I was getting close to running out of assigned numbers. Follett order forms
give you the chanced to set up a customer processing profile which is kept
on file. The order form gives you the option of using the existing profile
or doing a 'this order only' set of different processing options. These
profiles and options give you a place to indicate what bc numbers you want
to use. If you elect to use the existing profile, and have given Follett a
large block of 'reserved' numbers, they will continue to use these in
sequence until they are exhausted. I did keep track of which number blocks
I had given to which vendors by writing them on the cover of the folder in
which I kept the preprinted bc's for books that we bought unprocessed. I
bumped the preprinted bc numbers way up in sequence, giving myself 20,000
unused numbers that I could assign to various vendors if we ordered books
pre-processed (when we had the money). Call Follett and talk to customer
service. I've always had good luck with them. They should be able to work
something out with you.

Hope this helps.
Mark
