Some of you asked that I send out replies that I received about middle school

Will Hobbs books are good for both boys and girls: http://www.willhobbsauthor.com/

Laura Halse Anderson is good: http://www.writerlady.com/ and Fever 1793 book

Here in Connecticut we have the NUTMEG BOOKS where Connecticut Librarians pick a
set of books each year and the students vote which is the best. Check out our
lists: http://www.nutmegaward.org/ and link to the archives to see the past 10
years or so of winners and the nominees for each year at:
http://www.nutmegaward.org/Archives/index.htm. These are all really geared toward
the Middle Grades (until this year which now has a Teen list too).

A teacher and I are wanting to start a Book Discussion group at out middle
school next year. Do any of you have any tips or suggestions? Also, do you have
any suggestions on good titles to use that maybe aren't so popular that everyone
will have already read them?
