Like Allan, we barcode manila envelopes and check them out through our
circulation system.  We make note on the record of the title and date of
the periodical.  Although most of our periodicals are available
full-text on our databases, students still like to check them out
sometimes.  We do the same for our vertical files.

Some of our periodicals are retained in storage; others are discarded
at the end of the school year.
