Interesting! I just looked at my New Jersey Education Association (our state
teachers union) desk calendar. This is the same one that noted that Monday was
School Librarians Day as per National PTA's celebration of Teacher Appreciation
week.
Anyway it lists Ascension Thurdsday as well as Holocuast Remembrance Day but
nothing at all about Cinco de Mayo. I often see TV commercials for Mexican
restaurant chains who celebrate it with special food and drinks.
