First time caller, long time listener. I'm a first year school librarian in a small K-8 school (about 400 students) with an even smaller budget. As I begin to think about what books I'll be ordering (and what I can't afford to order) I'm wondering about the need to continue to fully fund the Reference Section in the Internet era. Is it sacrilegious to think about NOT buying another set of encyclopedias? How about almanacs? My question to you is- What are you all purchasing for your Reference sections? Are there materials you can not possibly imagine getting along without, even with Google (et cetera)available? Thanks in advance, I'll post a hit if there's interest.
