Greetings, We are considering alternatives to the MLA Manual for our Frosh. A teacher on our campus previously had used a "style guide" type book called Coretext: Handbook for Writers. It was explained elements of style and had clear (for Frosh) explanations about usage, style, research, etc. Apparently, this text is no longer in print. If you are using a style guide with which you are finding success, might you please send a recommendation my way so that we can take a closer look? I'll post a hit if there is interest.
